Designing learning that’s intentional, flexible, and always human-centered.

Hi, I’m Adriana—a learning strategist, instructional designer, and lifelong advocate for equitable, global education. I believe learning should be accessible, adaptable, and built with real people in mind.

Whether I’m co-creating inclusive courses with faculty or leading international training initiatives, I design experiences that are flexible, tech-enabled, and grounded in Universal Design for Learning. My approach centers empathy, strategy, and innovation—so learners from all backgrounds can engage fully and succeed.

At the core of my work is a simple goal: to design learning that’s intentional, flexible, and always human-centered.

The Odyssey is the tale of Ulysses, also known as Odysseus, and his heroic journey home after the Trojan War. Facing mythical beasts, wrathful gods, and his inner struggles, our hero celebrates the resilience of the human spirit. The story continues to captivate readers with its profound themes of loyalty, ingenuity, and the enduring quest for home.

About me

Adriana

I grew up in a bilingual, bicultural home shaped by gallopinto and hushpuppies, bluegrass and cumbia. Raised in Tampa by my Costa Rican father, North Carolinian mother, and my abuelos, I was surrounded by language, music, and the richness of multiple worlds from the very start. That foundation deeply influences how I see learning: as something joyful, dynamic, and deeply human.

Today, I’m an instructional designer and global learning strategist with a passion for creating inclusive, culturally responsive learning experiences. I bring a multilingual and international lens to everything I do—one shaped by years living and studying abroad, a love of language, and a lifelong curiosity about how people learn, connect, and grow.

In my free time, you’ll find me painting, traveling, or spending time with the ones (and foods) I love most.
